DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Holland Land Office Museum on Tuesday\, November 1st as we welcome the next presenter in our Guest Speaker Series. Dennis Upton will be performing his historical presentation of the “Life of Joseph Ellicott: Who Will Tell My Story”. His rendition takes place during Ellicott’s final hours spent in Western New York before he is sent down the Erie Canal to an institution in New York City. The presentation is told from Ellicott’s perspective\, and will be occurring on what would be Joseph Ellicott’s 262nd birthday. Admission is $5 or $3 for museum members. SUMMARY:21st Annual Wonderland of Trees Opening Night
DESCRIPTION:The Holland Land Office Museum is proud to announce the opening night of its 21st Annual Wonderland of Trees holiday event. This year’s theme is “Flannel & Frosty”. The event opens on Friday\, November 18th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Come to the museum to marvel at all of the wonderfully decorated trees from local organizations and businesses from around Genesee County. Live holiday music will be performed by members of the Genesee Symphony Orchestra\, and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the D&R Depot. There will also be a basket raffle of dozens of exciting gift baskets. Tickets are $15 per person or $10 for museum members. Children under 12 are $5. The Wonderland of Trees continues until the end of December. The basket raffle will run until December 16th. Come to the museum and enjoy all of the wonderfully decorated trees by local organizations and businesses. The trees will be up from November 19th to December 31st during the museum’s normal business hours. Admission is the same as normal museum admission. Also\, our basket raffle will be running until Friday\, December 16th\, so stop on by and get your tickets to win some wonderful prizes. Don’t forget to also vote for your favorite tree while visiting the museum.
