SUMMARY:Java with Joe E.- Mary Ellen Reardon\, "Seven Springs Country Club"
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the next edition of our Java with Joe E. morning presentation group on Thursday\, March 24 at 9 am. This month we welcome local author and researcher Mary Ellen Reardon as she shares the history of Seven Springs Country Club through her book “Seven Springs Country Club: A Century of Stewardship.”\nSeven Springs Country Club is a hidden gem that has played a quiet but important role in Genesee County’s history. The Club was founded in 1911 as a conservation area and outdoor recreation space. William Russell purchased the land for his father\, Edward. Mr. Edward Russell formed the club with 28 charter members. Over 40\,000 trees were planted\, turning the once swampy pasture into beautiful and peaceful woods. Today Seven Springs is home to a thriving community\, a mix of year-round residents and non-residents. Current members of the Club carry on the vision of its founders while continuing to honor the land. water\, and woods. The history of the Club began as a small research project that grew into a book. The author\, Mary Ellen Reardon has been a part of Seven Springs for over 30 years. She hopes readers enjoy the history of this Genesee County spot as much as she has enjoyed researching and writing it. For more information about Seven Springs Country Club\, please send inquiries to sevenspringscountryclub@gmail.com \nThe event is free to the public. Masks are required. The program will also be available via Zoom. Please follow the links below.\nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/84919665347?pwd=aEd4cVdPMU9FUWEzMWJOcWhrYkhCUT09\nMeeting ID: 849 1966 5347\nPasscode: 37182
